Namibia lifts all COVID-19-related restrictions as of Aug. 26; proof of vaccination no longer required for entry by foreign travelers.

Event

The government of Namibia announced on Aug. 25, that it had lifted all of the nation's remaining COVID-19-related restrictions, including for foreign travelers entering the country. As of Aug. 26, foreign travelers are no longer required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative PCR test to enter Namibia.

There are no domestic restrictions in effect.

Officials could reimpose restrictions at any time with little-to-no notice depending on changes in disease activity.
