Annually, the ITIC community gathers to talk about travel and health insurance at this renowned event. This year, Crisis24’s Dr. Adrian Hyzler will join esteemed colleagues on day four of the conference to discuss what is realistic regarding mental health assistance in a session titled “Mental Health Coverage, Assistance, and Evacuation”:
The increasing prevalence of mental health conditions among the wider community has resulted in a significant rise in the need for coverage of these conditions from travel insurance and international health insurance providers. Policy terms and benefits dictate the medical assistance that can be provided to insureds, so what is realistic for coverage and assistance? Experts in this session will consider the underwriting of policies, the most common calls for assistance related to the mental health of travelers, and how evacuations and repatriations are carried out.
