Norway: Avalanche warnings in center-west March 19

Event

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued red alerts (the second-highest level on a five-tiered scale) due to the risk of avalanches in the Sunnmøre, Romsdal, and Trollheimen regions of Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal counties (center-west) through at least Tuesday, March 20.

Individuals present in affected regions are advised to avoid mountainous and hilly areas, monitor local weather reports, and adhere to any instructions issued by the local authorities (e.g. evacuation or shelter-in-place orders).
