Honduras: Forest fires continue nationwide April 3
At least 150 forest fires continue to rage across Honduras as of April 3; smog-related delays possible at Toncontín International Airport (TGU)

At least 150 forest fires had been reported in the previous 24 hours across Honduras as of 14:00 (local time) on Tuesday, April 3. The most affected areas include Puerto Lempira (Gracias a Dios department), Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela (Francisco Morazán department), Yoro (Yoro department), Campamento, and Dulce Nombre de Culmí (Olancho department). According to authorities, several of the fires are suspected to have been intentionally caused.
Dense smog has been reported in the capital city of Tegucigalpa, limiting visibility. While flights from Toncontín International Airport (TGU) appear to be operating normally as of Tuesday, flight disruptions are possible in the coming days due to poor visibility.
