Older diesel vehicles banned on certain roads in downtown Hamburg beginning May 31

Driving restrictions on older diesel vehicles will come into effect on certain roads in downtown Hamburg on Thursday, May 31, in a bid to reduce air pollution levels. Diesel vehicles produced before 2015 or that do not comply with Euro 6 norms will be banned from circulating along Max-Brauer-Allee in Hamburg. Commercial diesel vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons will also be banned on Stresemannstrasse. Violations of the driving ban could result in a fine of 25 euros (USD 30). Some exceptions will be tolerated for residents on the affected roads.
