Local sources report that drivers blocked roads in Beirut, Tripoli, Chtoura, Zahle, and Akkar, including Spears Street in front of the Ministry of Interior in Beirut. Public transportation unions organized the protest to urge authorities to lower fuel prices and prevent competition from foreign drivers, among other demands.
