Netherlands: Rail disruptions September to November /update 1

Event

Rail disruptions are to be anticipated in the Netherlands in the coming months due to planned engineering works.

• On the weekend of September 15-16, Eurostar trains from London and Brussels will arrive in Amsterdam with a delay of 30 minutes and trains from Amsterdam to Brussels will depart 30 minutes earlier than normal. On the same weekend, no Thalys trains will call at the Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport station.
• On Sunday, September 30, Eurostar trains will not serve Amsterdam-Centraal station, instead terminating at or departing from Rotterdam. Some Thalys trains will also not call at Amsterdam-Centraal.
• InterCity trains operated by Dutch Rail (NS) will not serve The Hague the weekend of October 5-7; trains will terminate at Amsterdam-Centraal.
• InterCity trains will not serve The Hague the weekend of November 2-4; trains will terminate at Amsterdam-Centraal.
• No Eurostar trains will run between Brussels, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam from midnight on Friday, November 9, until 09:00 on Monday, November 12 (local time).
• No Thalys trains will run in the Netherlands on the weekend of November 10-11 (e.g. no services to and from Antwerp, Rotterdam, Schiphol, and Amsterdam stations). 
• On the weekend of November 16-18, Eurostar trains from London and Brussels will arrive in Amsterdam with a delay of 30 minutes and trains from Amsterdam to Brussels will leave 25 minutes earlier than normal.
• InterCity trains will not serve The Hague, Amsterdam-Centraal, or Amsterdam-Schiphol the weekend of November 17-18; trains will terminate at Rotterdam.

Additional disruptions to domestic Dutch Rail (NS) services are also to be anticipated during these periods.
