Officials inaugurate Van Don International Airport (VDO) in Quảng Ninh province on December 30

The Van Don International Airport (VDO) in Vân Đồn district (Quảng Ninh province) began flight operations as of Saturday, December 30. Authorities announced the airport is capable of handling large wide-body aircraft to support international flight routes. As of early January Vietnam Airlines has launched domestic service to Ho Chi Minh City.
