Denmark: Train service disruptions across Zealand April 1
Train service disruptions reported across Zealand and east of Odense; anticipate transportation delays in coming hours and days
Event
On Monday, April 1, an ongoing train drivers' strike is causing disruptions in train services across the Zealand island, including in the capital Copenhagen and east of the city of Odense (Funen island). Regional and long-distance trains, as well as the S-train, an urban-suburban rail serving the Copenhagen urban area, are all affected. Train services to and from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) are also being disrupted. While the S-train services are expected to resume at 15:00 (local time) lingering disruptions are likely to persist throughout the day. Normal services with regional and longer distance trains are expected to resume in the morning on Tuesday, April 2 (local time).
Advice
Individuals traveling between Funen and Zealand islands should anticipate train delays and cancelations over the coming hours and days. Check the status of your train prior departure. Adhere to any instructions issued by local authorities.
