France: Paris Marathon scheduled for April 14
Paris will hold its annual marathon on April 14; significant transportation disruptions expected

Paris will host the annual Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris on Sunday, April 14, and is expected to result in significant transportation disruptions. The race is set to begin on Avenue des Champs-Élysées east of the Arc de Triomphe at 08:00 (local time) and finish around 16:30 on Avenue Foch near Porte Dauphine. The course runs north of the Seine along Rue de Ravoli and Rue de Reuilly to Bois de Vincennes before returning on Rue de Chartenton and along the north bank of the Seine until Boulevard Exelmans to Bois de Boulogne. Road closures are expected near the route on Sunday with some beginning on Saturday, April 13. Closures include Champs-Élysées, Place de la Bastille, and several bridges of the Seine.
