Uruguay: Transport workers strike planned in Montevideo June 25
Transport workers plan to strike across Montevideo on June 25; significant transportation disruptions expected

Members of the PIT-CNT labor union and the UNOTT transport workers union are slated to strike for 24 hours starting on Tuesday, June 25, in Montevideo. As a result of the strike, public transportation, taxi services, education services, and government offices will be either canceled or closed. The strike comes days before presidential primary elections scheduled on Sunday, June 30.
