US: Festivities scheduled in San Juan (Puerto Rico) November 19

Puerto Ricans are set to celebrate Puerto Rico Discovery Day in San Juan on Tuesday, November 19, with a march and other festivities. The march will take place from the Luis Muñoz Rivera park and will proceed to the Capitolio. The march will primarily call for peace in the island. An estimated 10,000 participants are expected. Governor Wanda Guzman and other government figures are expected to attend. A heightened security presence is therefore expected, as well as associated transportation disruptions.
