A 5.8-magnitude earthquake strikes off the east coast of Sola on November 6; no tsunami warning immediately issued

The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 5.8-magnitude earthquake around 32 km (20 mi) east-northeast of Sola on Wednesday, November 6. The quake hit around 11:39 (local time) at a depth of 10 km (6 mi). No tsunami warning has been immediately issued. Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
