Qatar: Inclement weather forecast nationwide March 26-29

Rain of varying intensity and strong winds are expected to affect Qatar starting on Thursday, March 26, through Sunday, March 29. Hail will affect some areas as well. Conditions are to intensify on March 28, and March 29, when a state of atmospheric instability is expected. The Qatar Met also advised to avoid marine activities.

Disruptions are to be expected over the next several days.

Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, avoid areas directly affected by flooding, confirm road conditions prior to setting out, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities. It is important to note that that walking or driving through floodwaters can be dangerous; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
