New Caledonia: Authorities impose nightly curfew for minors in South province May 8

On Friday, May 8, New Caledonian authorities imposed a nightly curfew in South province for those under the age of 18 as part of a series of measures to reduce crime. According to reports, around 40 percent of break-ins and burglaries are committed by individuals under the age of 18 in the country. Additionally, the sale of alcohol will resume from Monday, June 1.
