Czech Republic: Train collision near Český Brod injures dozens July 14

A passenger and freight train collided near the Český Brod station (Central Bohemian region) on Tuesday, July 14, injuring at least 30 people. The incident occurred at around 21:30 (local time). Czech Railways have reportedly stated that the major line linking the capital Prague with the eastern part of the country is expected to be closed until Wednesday morning, July 15, as emergency response operations are ongoing in the area. Investigations into the cause of the collision have been launched. 

Disruption to transport in the area is to be expected over the coming hours and days.
