Labor unions call for protest in Bogota for September 7 amid union strike; avoid all demonstrations

The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and the Central Workers Union (CUT) have called for a demonstration in Bogota on Monday, September 7, amid a 24-hour strike due to labor laws. Participants are to gather at Enrique Olaya Herrera National Park at 09:00 (local time) before driving slowly towards the Ministry of Labor. Associated demonstrations are expected to occur in urban centers nationwide.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions in the vicinity of the demonstration should be anticipated.
