Mexico: Activists plan protest in Morelia for September 26

Several women's rights organizations have called for a protest to be held in Morelia on Saturday, September 26, to demand justice for the killing of a local woman. Participants will reportedly gather at Las Tarascas fountain at 17:00 (local time) before marching to the Michoacan Government Palace.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions to transport are to be expected in the vicinity of the demonstrations. Clashes between security forces and protesters are possible.
