Activists with the Ivorian Popular Front, supporters, and sympathizers will gather at the Felix Houphouet Boigny International Airport (ABJ) in the Port Bouet area of Abidjan from 1000, Feb. 9. Participants will gather to receive the remains of Sansan Kouao, who died while in exile in Ghana. Other events, including a procession from the airport to central Abidjan, are possible.

An increased security presence is possible at the event, although the possibility of unrest remains low. Transport disruptions are possible on routes to and from ABJ in the coming hours. Disruptions to flights as a result of this gathering are not expected but cannot be entirely discounted.
