The Ghana Grid Company, an electric provider, has confirmed technical issues related to the electrical grid have prompted a nationwide power outage in Ghana. The outage began at approximately 1410 March 7. The exact reason for the outage remains unclear. Technicians are reportedly working to restore the power supply; however, outages will likely continue through at least early March 8.

Business, transport, and communications disruptions are likely; power outages could also create delays at Kotoka International Airport (ACC)

Charge all communication and other portable electronic devices when possible. Unplug electronic equipment that is not connected to surge protectors.
