An explosion occurred near Kabul Camp in the Police District (PD) 9 area of Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, the early afternoon of April 23. The blast was reportedly caused by a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) and killed at least one person and wounded another. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Authorities will probably increase security near the blast site to investigate the incident. Localized traffic disruptions are likely.
