Unidentified assailants killed at least seven people and injured at least three others in Rusaka, Mwaro Province, April 16. The motive for and exact location of the attack is unclear.

Increased security is likely in the impact area. Additional police and/or military patrols and checkpoints are possible. Security operation-related disruptions, including road closures and ground travel delays, are also possible.
