An explosion has occurred near the Kot-e-Sangi area of Police District (PD) 5 late June 3. The blast apparently destroyed a vehicle. There were no immediate official reports of casualties. Officials may provide updates in the coming hours.
The late June 3 explosion occurred in an area north of a previous explosion that took place on Chahar Qala Road in PD6 around 13:45. The first explosion was apparently caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) and targeted a vehicle, killing at least four people and wounding four more.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the incidents.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely in the area as investigations continue.
