Philippines: Authorities diverting incoming international flights at Cebu City to Metro Manila through at least June 12 /update 1

Philippines diverting incoming international flights at Cebu City to Metro Manila through at least June 12. Confirm flights.

Informational

Event

Authorities are diverting incoming international flights bound for Cebu City's Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) to Metro Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) through at least June 12. Officials attributed the policy, which was also in effect May 29-June 5, to COVID-19 concerns. Cargo flights are likely exempt from the restrictions. Authorities may extend the protocols at short notice.

Flight delays and ground transport disruptions may occur at and around MNL through at least June 12 due to the increased activity at the airport.

Advice

Confirm flights to and from CEB and MNL through June 12. Heed all official advisories.
