Saint Kitts and Nevis: Government imposes new COVID-19-related movement restrictions until July 26 /update 31
Saint Kitts and Nevis implement new movement restrictions until July 26 due to COVID-19 activity.
Event
Authorities in Saint Kitts and Nevis have enacted new nationwide restrictions on movement until at least July 26 in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. The measures replace a previous system under which restrictions varied by island.
Under the directives, a nationwide 21:00-05:00 curfew is in effect. During curfew hours, all persons except for essential workers and those attending to medical emergencies must remain at home. Mass gatherings and private parties are banned, and masks must be worn on buses, taxis, and passenger ferries.
The new regulations permit businesses throughout the country to resume their operations so long as they abide by social distancing protocols.
International Travel Restrictions
All incoming travelers, including those arriving by private vessel, must:
Present a negative result from a COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to travel.
Complete a health entry form prior to departure; the form must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to travel.
Submit a copy of a COVID-19 vaccination record.
Download the Saint Kitts and Nevis COVID-19 mobile app (EXMAPP) to a mobile device.
Undergo a health screening at the airport, which includes a temperature check and a health questionnaire (Travelers presenting symptoms of COVID-19 may be required to take an additional PCR test).
All travelers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must remain in quarantine for at least three days and take a COVID-19 PCR test on the fourth day. Such travelers will be allowed to leave quarantine upon receiving negative results from the test. Unvaccinated travelers must remain in a government quarantine facility for 14 days; unvaccinated minors who are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents must only remain in quarantine as long as their parents do.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
