Emergency crews are responding to an explosion and fire at a factory in Beirut's Borj El Brajneh as of late Aug. 30. At least three people have been killed and three others injured as a result of the incident. Authorities have not specified the cause of the explosion.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the incident site. Authorities have evacuated buildings in the area as a precaution. Lingering disruptions are possible after crews extinguish the fire as recovery operations and the investigation into the incident continue.
