Turks and Caicos to maintain current COVID-19 travel and domestic restrictions, including a nightly curfew, unchanged through Oct. 31.

Event

Authorities in the Turks and Caicos Islands will maintain current domestic and travel restrictions unchanged through Oct. 31 as part of their efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Domestic Measures
Curfew hours run 01:00-05:00, with businesses being allowed to operate until 23:59. Individuals may not leave their homes during curfew hours, except for emergencies, essential work, or travel purposes. Bars and restaurants are allowed to operate at a limited capacity. All public and private gatherings of more than 50 people require special government approval. Only fully vaccinated individuals can enter bars, nightclubs, and discotheques.

Businesses and establishments must comply with industry-specific protocols, including employing enhanced sanitation procedures. The requirement for individuals to wear protective facemasks in public spaces has also been extended until at least Oct. 31.

International Travel
The territory's airports are open for regional and international passenger travel; however, the Grand Turk Cruise Center remains closed. All arriving nonresident foreign nationals, returning legal residents, and citizens must obtain a "TCI-Assured" online pre-travel authorization by providing a negative PCR, antigen, or other accepted COVID-19 test taken within three days before arrival; proof of insurance that covers COVID-19 medical costs; and a completed health screening questionnaire.

Additionally, all visitors aged 16 and up are required to be fully vaccinated. All children under the age of 10 and certain residents who have been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks are not required to upload a negative PCR test result before travel. It is advised that travelers complete and upload the pre-travel authorization at least 24 hours before boarding. Domestic travelers will be subject to temperature checks. Returning residents who have not been fully vaccinated must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test, quarantine for seven days upon arrival, and take an additional test on day five following their arrival.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on local disease activity.
