Luxembourg: Polish unions to protest in Luxembourg City Oct. 22

Representatives of Polish labor unions are planning to protest outside the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) in Luxembourg City Oct. 22 to oppose a ruling to close a coal mine and power plant in Poland. Organizers expect that approximately 2,000 participants will gather outside the CJEU building in Kirchberg on the day.

Although the gathering is likely to pass off peacefully, police will likely deploy in the vicinity; the presence of large numbers of protesters and associated security measures could prompt traffic disruptions on Rue du Fort Niedergruenewalde and Boulevard Konrad Adenauer.
