The League of Filipino Students UP Diliman has announced a protest outside the Commission on Human Rights in the Quezon City area of Manila 17:00 Nov. 12. Participants intend to denounce the disappearance of activist Steve Abua, who went missing Nov. 6; activists claim state officials kidnapped Abua for opposing government agrarian policies. Participation will likely be dozens to a few hundred people.

Security personnel will likely monitor the protest and may try to break up the gathering if it is especially disruptive. Skirmishes between police and protesters may occur. The protest and resultant security response may prompt localized transport disruptions.
