Anguilla: COVID-19 restrictions remain unchanged as of mid-February /update 24
COVID-19 restrictions in Anguilla remain in place as of Feb. 14.
Event
As of Feb.14, COVID-19-related restrictions in effect in Anguilla remain largely unchanged since early January.
Domestic Measures
The use of protective facemasks remains mandatory in indoor public areas where social distancing measures are not possible. Additionally, authorities have ordered organizers of festivals and large events to ensure all attendees are fully vaccinated; attendees must also wear facemasks and comply with social distancing guidelines. Gatherings, including those inside restaurants and bars, must be limited to one person per 2.8 square meters (30 square feet).
International Travel Restrictions
Visitors 18 years of age and older are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Such individuals must have received the final dose of an approved vaccine (those produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Janssen/Johnson & Johnson) at least 21 days prior to their arrival in Anguilla. Pregnant women are exempt from the vaccination requirement. Residents may enter without being fully vaccinated but must quarantine upon arrival.
Additionally, the following entry restrictions remain in effect:
All travelers must complete an online application to request entry into the territory.
Travelers must submit a negative result from a PCR, NAA, RNA, or molecular COVID-19 test taken within 2-5 days prior to arrival in Anguilla; antigen tests must be taken within 48 hours prior to arrival.
Upon arrival, visitors will be tested at the airport and taken to their accommodations, where they will wait for the test results. If the result is negative, they can move freely in Anguilla.
Fully vaccinated residents returning to Anguilla are also tested upon arrival and must wait for the test results at their homes.
Unvaccinated residents must quarantine for 10 days either at their home or at a Safe Environment Approved Accommodation. Adult residents traveling with unvaccinated minors must also quarantine, even if the adults are vaccinated.
Vaccinated residents, and visitors staying for more than eight days, may be required to take a new test on day four after their arrival.
All fully vaccinated travelers will receive a yellow wristband upon arrival while unvaccinated travelers will receive a red wristband; individuals cannot remove their wristbands without authorization from health officials.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice, depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
