Activists plan to protest outside the Association of Banks in Lebanon in Beirut from 15:00 Feb. 5. The purpose of the action is to denounce recent decisions made by the Central Bank's governor. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend. Organizers have also called for associated demonstrations to take place outside local Central Bank branches in other urban areas at the same time; however, these events are unlikely to be well-attended or overly disruptive.
Security forces will likely deploy to monitor protests. Associated transport disruptions are likely in the vicinity of protests. Violence is unlikely though it could occur if activists are unruly or disobey police orders.
