France: Airport security staff to strike at Marseille Provence Airport 06:00 July 1-06:00 July 4

Unionized security staff at Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) plan to strike 06:00 July 1-06:00 July 4 to demand higher wages and improved working conditions. The General Confederation of Labor Union (CGT) has also called on Air France (AF) employees at MRS to strike 10:00-14:00 July 1.

Unless averted, the strikes could disrupt flights and result in delays or cancellations. Passengers will likely experience longer waits for clearing security. Disruptions could extend for several hours after workers resume their duties, while air carriers reposition aircraft and work through their passenger backlog.
