Several protests are occurring in various locations nationwide June 10. The protests are due to two politicians' alleged controversial comments on the Prophet Muhammad. The following events have been reported:

  • Demonstrators gathered in the Atala area of Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) after midday prayers. Participants reportedly threw stones at the police, who responded with force to disperse the protesters.

  • In Ranchi (Jharkhand State), protesters gathered along Mahatma Gandhi Main Road and threw stones at police forces. Several injuries have been reported.

  • In Hyderabad (Telangana State), protests were reported at Masjid-e-Azizia and Mecca Masjid.

  • In Solapur (Maharashtra State), demonstrators gathered in the city center.

Turnout varies between demonstrations, with up to several hundred people at each event. Additional protests are possible in other cities nationwide.
