COVID-19 restrictions in Puerto Rico remain mostly unchanged as of June 28 by comparison with those in force during the middle of the month.
Event
As of June 28, the COVID-19-related restrictions in force in Puerto Rico generally remain unchanged by comparison with those in effect during the first half of the month.
Domestic Measures
Supermarkets, retail stores, and pharmacies can operate without capacity limits. People entering public and private establishments are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results. Businesses are allowed to require facemasks and cannot prevent individuals from wearing facemasks. Individuals working in or visiting health institutions, nursing homes, or public transportation facilities must still wear facemasks.
International Travel Restrictions
Travelers must continue to follow the federal requirements for travel from outside the US and US territories. Nonresident foreign nationals aged 18 or older must be fully vaccinated to enter Puerto Rico. Those aged 2-17 years do not need a vaccination. International travelers no longer have to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival. For more information on federal US travel restrictions, click here.
Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
