Japan: Authorities to dispose of WWII-era bomb in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, July 24

Japanese authorities will conduct operations to remove a WWII-era bomb at a construction site in Minamisuita, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture July 24. Officials will impose a 300 meter (984 feet) evacuation cordon to facilitate the bomb disposal. The operation will take place from 12:00.

Heightened security measures and localized transport disruptions are likely during removal operations. Authorities will restrict traffic in the area and suspend JR west train services on the Biwako, Kyoto, and Kobe lines between Maibara and Himeji stations.
