Kyrgyzstan: Activists plan protest in Bishkek July 8

Activists plan to protest in Bishkek July 8 to denounce the abuse of a teenage girl by police officers while in custody. Participants will rally in front of the Sverdlov District Court from 15:00.

Security forces may deploy to monitor the protest. Associated transport and business disruptions are possible in the vicinity of the protest. Although the protest will most likely remain peaceful, isolated violence cannot be ruled out.
