Anguilla: Authorities ease COVID-19-related travel restrictions as of Aug. 25 /update 27

As of Aug. 25, authorities have eased COVID-19-related international travel restrictions in Anguilla. Unvaccinated visitors aged or older may now enter Anguilla if they present a negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival or an antigen test taken within 48 hours prior arrival. Children aged four or under who are not vaccinated do not need to be tested in advance but may be tested on arrival. Unvaccinated travelers must no longer quarantine on arrival nor obtain prior permission to visit. Vaccinated visitors must provide proof of vaccination. Authorities are currently also considering individuals as fully vaccinated only 14 days after receiving their final dose of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine, instead of 21 days.

Visitors arriving without appropriate documentation will be required to return to their country of origin; visitors who cannot return to their country of origin, as well as residents and nationals, will be subject to arrival and exit tests, five days of quarantine at their own expense, a USD 200 charge, and possibly further fines for unapproved entry.

Domestic measures remain in place.

Domestic Measures
The use of protective facemasks remains mandatory in indoor public areas where social distancing is not possible. Organizers of festivals and large events should ensure all attendees are fully vaccinated; attendees must also wear facemasks and comply with social distancing guidelines.

International Travel Restrictions
Individuals are considered fully vaccinated if they have received the final dose of an approved vaccine (those produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, or Janssen/Johnson & Johnson) at least 14 days prior to their arrival in Anguilla.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
