Vendors from the Perisur Market are protesting by disrupting traffic near exit CA-5 of the Ring Road on the southern outskirts of Tegucigalpa Nov. 28. Protesters are demanding that authorities build a transport terminal in the Loarque neighborhood where the market is located. Significant traffic congestion has been reported in the vicinity of the demonstration. Security forces have deployed to the area in an effort to negotiate with demonstrators to reopen the roadway.
