Authorities have removed the nationwide public activity restrictions system (Pemberlakuan Kegiatan Masyarakat, or PPKM) effective Dec. 30. According to the revised policy, officials will remove restrictions on public gatherings, but will maintain an indoor facemask mandate and the use of the PeduliLindungi contact-tracing application for residents and travelers to enter most public spaces. The government also strongly advises people to be fully vaccinated.
