Cameroon: Suspected bomb explosions in Beau, Feb. 25

Officials have increased security in Buea following three suspected bomb explosions earlier Feb. 25. The blasts coincided with and occurred near a running event, the Race of Hope. Blasts were reported within close proximity to the Molyko Stadium. At least 19 people were injured. There have been no claims of responsibility for the attack.

Officials will almost certainly maintain an increased security presence in the city, particularly near the Molyko Stadium, through Feb. 25. Additional checkpoints, patrols, and security raids are likely. Security responses and investigations could result in localized road travel disruptions.
