Power outages are occurring in areas of central and eastern Cuba as of late Feb. 13, allegedly due to technical problems with transmission lines. The primary areas affected by the power outages include Camaguey, Ciego de Avila, Granma, Guantanamo, Holguin, Las Tunas, and Santiago de Cuba provinces. Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, and other major urban centers. Power outages were first reported at approximately 12:00; reports indicate that power has been restored to some areas, but lingering disruptions are likely over the coming hours.

Further electricity outages in other regions are possible. Disruptions to telecommunication and water services dependent on electricity are possible over the coming hours.
