Costa Rica: Unionized police officers to hold a protest in San Jose March 21

Unionized members of the Public Force (Fuerza Publica), Costa Rica's national police, plan to hold a protest in San Jose on March 21. Demonstrators intend to gather outside the National Center Specialized in Tourism (Centro Nacional Especializado en Turismo, CENETUR), located along Avenida 10, starting at 10:00. Members of the police will likely be accompanied by members of the National Association of Public and Private Workers (Asociacion Nacional de Empleados Publicos y Privados, ANEP). The action is to oppose a new law that will establish new salaries for its members.
