Ecuador: Italian national kidnapped in Guayaquil, June 23

On June 25, Ecuadoran authorities confirmed that criminals had kidnapped an Italian chef in the city of Guayaquil. The victim was last seen on July 23, when at least four assailants abducted him from the restaurant he owns Il Sabore Mio. Authorities have not released any further details concerning the incident or possible motives behind it.
