Unionized emergency responders plan to re-establish a protest encampment in front of the Council of Ministers and Ministry of Health buildings in Sofia from Aug. 30 to condemn alleged unequal salary distribution. Previously, several dozen union members camped in tents in front of the Ministry of Health, during which time they also intermittently held rallies. Organizers have not indicated how long the protest may last.

Transport disruptions are possible due to the demonstration. Authorities may deploy additional security in the vicinity as a precaution.
