Police officials confirmed that the blast was caused by a suicide bomber in the vicinity of a coffee shop and the Banadir Regional Administration building in the Xamarweyne District. At least three people were killed. Al-Shabaab reportedly claimed responsibility, stating that the attack targeted security and government officials.
