The incident occurred at approximately 19:00 when an employee attempted to stop a group of three suspected shoplifters; one of the suspects fired a gun and injured a customer. Police arrested one suspect and are searching for the other two. Authorities are asking the public to avoid 42nd and Broadway and 6th Avenue between 47th and 51st streets.
