Response operations are ongoing in parts of Dane, Green, and Rock counties, Wisconsin, as of late Feb. 8 after several rounds of severe storms with embedded tornadoes moved across the region earlier the same day. Storm damage, likely caused by tornadoes, has occurred across the affected area, with Rock County being the worst affected.

Reports indicate that tornadoes damaged around 25 buildings, power lines, and other structures in Rock County, as well as five homes, two mobile homes, and several other structures in Green County. Both lanes of Highway 14 at North Tolles Road, east of Evansville, were closed the evening of Feb. 8 due to debris blocking the road. The closure is likely to last several hours. Hundreds of people were without power at the height of the storm, with the worst affected north of Edgerton, Evansville, and the town of Porter; authorities have restored electricity in some areas. There have been no reports of any casualties due to the storm.

Response operations are ongoing; disruptions to ground travel and business operations will likely persist for several days in the affected areas.
