US: Police activity prompts officials to suspend Bay Area Rapid Transit service on San Francisco Line between Balboa Park and Daly City Feb. 11

Police activity has halted Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) service on the San Francisco Line between the Balboa Park and Daly City stations Feb. 11. San Francisco Fire Department personnel have said that authorities are investigating a report of a "subject on the tracks." Authorities are reportedly providing replacement bus service between Balboa Park and Daly City on buses 14 and 14R. Additionally, BART authorities have announced that there is no Blue Line, Red Line, or Green Line service operating on the San Francisco Line.

Lingering BART service disruptions are likely; delays are likely even after service officially resumes. Authorities may suspend additional BART services on short notice due to the police activity. Heightened security is likely near the impacted section of the tracks over the coming hours. Increased vehicular traffic congestion is possible between the affected stations until BART service is fully restored.
