Authorities have reportedly exchanged gunfire with armed individuals at Manauara Shopping mall in Manaus on the afternoon of Dec. 14. Preliminary reports indicate that armed individuals attempted to conduct a robbery of the Vivara jewelry store inside the mall. A heavy police presence is deployed in the area.

Increased security, transport, and business disruptions are almost certain near and around the Manaura Shopping mall. Security forces are likely to establish security cordons and checkpoints to apprehend the suspects.
