Netherlands: Activists to demonstrate in The Hague Dec. 13

Activists to protest at International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands, 15:00-17:00 Dec. 13. Heightened security likely.

Informational

Activists affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party plan to protest at the International Criminal Court on Ouede Waalsdorperweg in The Hague 15:00-17:00 Dec. 13. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand an investigation into the alleged killing of protesters by security forces in Islamabad on Nov. 26. It was not immediately clear how many participants may attend.

Police will likely deploy nearby to facilitate the demonstration. The presence of protesters and law enforcement officers will likely disrupt vehicular transport in the area, and low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the protest site. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
